Andrew Holt has owned RS Ireland since 1992. They only make black puddings (and the rarer white puddings) and use a secret recipe dating back to 1879. They have won numerous awards in the UK and overseas and in France, Andrew been made a Knight of The Black Pudding.
The puddings are made with fresh blood, pearl barley, pork back fat, rusk, oatmeal and a secret blend of 14 herbs and spices.
We have listed the web site address. This is a good source of information and recipes but does not offer on line purchases. The puddings can be purchased from Booths supermarkets or from Jack Scaife.

We used to live next door to ''the'' R.S. Ireland and can honestly say they''re the best black puddings in the world! Even our dog, Jed, couldn''t wait for Dick's van to pull up (usually around 7am) after returning from deliveries in Manchester. British Airways was a regular customer. Keep up the good work; if only we could get some out here in N.Z., life would then be paradise!

A fantastic pudding, best boiled or steamed to appreciate the fresh blood and fine herb taste. They come in fatty, lean and medium.
